Mercury was a Flash-based elearning courseware that make possible the creation of rich, bespoke elearning content from nothing more than XML templates.
It supported many different types of content including:
- Rich HTML text
- Image galleries
- Animated transitions
- Video
- Audio
- Drag & drop activities
- Click & reveal activities
- Quizzes and assessments.
Mercury constructed the resource from its XML definitions in real-time, including its modules and page structure. It allowed the creating of elearning courses without any programming.
It also featured SCORM support with a local shared object (Flash cookie) backup if SCORM was not supported on the delivery platform.
